Local Groups Gather for Dreaming New Mexico Food System Summit
The centerpiece of Dreaming New Mexico’s “Age of Localized Foodsheds and a Fair Trade State” is a “future map” and companion booklet that depict both the state of the State’s food system and the “dreams” of what it could be – positive scenarios for change. Tri-State to build solar plant in northeast NM
A 500,000-panel solar photovoltaic power plant that will stretch for nearly a mile is being planned on the high plains of northeastern New Mexico between Springer and Cimarron. Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association of Westminster, Colo., announced Tuesday it has entered into an agreement with Tempe, Ariz.-based First Solar Inc. to develop the plant.
